Why do you like living in the bay ?

I moved to LA almost a year ago for work, I lived in the Bay for 20 years prior. I’m 27, going on 28.
I lived in the suburbs of the valley, San Ramon/Pleasanton/Danville. I did explore all over the bay in my free time.
I’m blown away by how different LA is, and how exciting it is. I find it more exciting to me than SF or Oakland etc.
I’m wondering what ppl today still love about living in the Bay compared to other areas ?
Living in the Bay I would make more money, but I feel like I would be more bored... I’m not sure if the extra money would make up for the boredom I would feel 80% of the time, outside of the times I would be going on vacation etc. Thinking about whether I should move back in the future for more money or stay in LA for as long as I can and enjoy all that it has to offer for now.
Top Comment: What part of LA do you live in? You lived in the most boring parts of the bay, and visiting does not give you the same energy as living in SF, Oakland or one of the more vibrant cities.
